I wear readers and, even with contacts, bifocal prescription glasses, sitting closer or further away from computer screen, or adjusting the distance reading material is from my eyes, I still cannot see without readers. I'd estimate I've purchased well over 100 pairs in the last 2-3 years trying to find really good ones. I've had the ones prescribed by my eye doctor, high end, low end, WalMart, Walgreens, online contact stores, malls, you name it. I couldn't wait for these to come in. When I found out they arrived, I ripped straight into the box and WOW, for once I can see - CLEARLY, no blurry vision from the cheap plastic lenses of others I have tried - and the just felt like top notch quality. These are great GREAT readers, and now I'm ordering some for gifts and a couple of other strengths, maybe a few more for putting in strategic places for myself. I have zero CONS to list, so here are all the things I love about these, and I hope this will be a helpful guide for you to use when purchasing your own readers. PROS: The lenses are "OPTICAL GRADE". I always wondered why 99% of the lenses I found were so blurry. I thought it was just because they were plastic, but not so. These feel like glass, just sharp, quality lenses. You can spend $ to $$$ to $$$$$ on readers, but if they have plastic lenses, you're wasting your money. I've bought the foster grants and they're pretty good, but not nearly as good as these. When you look at these lenses while they are off your face, you can see just how the light goes through them, like a prismatic effect, that they are quality. Second thing I love about these is that they have nice, sturdy, quality spring hinges. When I want them to be shut, they're shut. When I open them, they stay open. And the handles aren't going to become off balance or loose or bent. Third, these frames are sturdy. I've listed the function over form qualities first, because those are what is really important. But hold on, these are beautiful, vibrant, and stylish. I mean, you have a great variety of colors, and even one pair is sunglasses. I tried those on in the sun this morning, and the sunblocking quality of them is also...EXCELLENT! I'm so impressed. And the icing on the cake, these are inexpensive, and they come in strengths that are hard to impossible to find in stores. These are +3.50, and now I don't have to have contacts, readers AND a magnifying glass. YES, I've been having to do that. It's embarrassing having to ask people to read things for you, or tell them that I can't nearly see the picture they are showing me on their iPhone, or having to whip out a magnifying glass on top of readers when I'm given a document at work. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!
